DELUGE
DELUGE
Her first rain: cradled in a blanket by the open window, listening wide-eyed to the lullaby pattering through the trees. A bonding moment of childhood wonder. It warms me now, as I walk the wet streets. It’s only in the downpour that I can truly breathe—because amid the deluge, she still feels close.
